Claude Dahlk, CHMM, CIEC
Claude Dahlk has more than 25 years of environmental consulting experience within the hazardous and solid waste management field. He is a Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM) and a Certified Indoor Environmental Consultant (CIEC). He is President of Hill West Environmental. Claude is a Montana, Nevada, and Utah certified Asbestos Inspector/Management Planner, Project Monitor, and a Project Designer. He is a Certified Underground Storage Tank (UST) Consultant and Groundwater and Soil Sampler. Mr. Dahlk is also a certified Methamphetamine Decontamination Specialist and an industrial hygienist.
Claude has developed and written Spill Prevention Control and Countermeasures (SPPC) Plans, Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPP), Solid and Hazardous Waste Management Plans, PCB Management Plans, and on-site landfill permits. He has written permit requests for on-site treatment, file notifications of contamination release, and provided written reports to state and federal agencies for closure of contaminated sites.
His experience ranges from environmental audits, Phase I Environment Site Assessments (Phase I ESA) and site investigations to all aspects of managing hazardous waste disposal activities. He has coordinated and supervised cleanup, removal, and disposal activities of UST sites, as well as remediation investigations, groundwater injection treatments, remedial treatment technologies, and monitoring network design. He is adept handling all aspects of PCB spills, accidental discharge of petroleum products, and hazardous waste. Mr. Dahlk provides project management in mine reclamation activities, including sampling of drums, transformers, soils, monitoring wells, and review analysis.
